Units were dispatched to a reported working dwelling fire at 17 Laurette Drive early this morning. Ladder 17 was the first arriving fire apparatus and took the narrow driveway on the “A-B” corner. The crew was split pulling two hand lines, one for interior attack and the other for the exterior deck area. The interior crew from Ladder 17 and Engine 22 made an aggressive attack, entering on the “C” side and making their way to the second floor where they encountered heavy fire conditions. District 16 supplied the ladder, and districts 12 and 22’s tankers supplied them. The ladder company then vented the roof due to fire conditions above the ceiling on the second floor. The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 30 minutes. No injuries were reported. Crews were on scene for around 3 hours. Also responding were Monroe 41,42,34 (RIT), and Carbon 20 (RIT), Lake Harmony Ambulance, Lehighton ALS, Kidder PD.
