A house in the Towamensing Trails development in Penn Forest Township exploded early this morning. On dispatch, it was reported that a house collapsed and was now on fire. Districts 22, 12 were dispatched, while Lake Harmony Fire Company was added to the call shortly after dispatch. Tanker 2232 arrived first on scene and pulled several lines. Tanker and Rescue 17 arrived next and supplied Penn Forest’s tanker and Aerial, while the crews assisted with fire suppression. The house was a total loss with damage to the neighboring house as well. A dump site was eventually established at the intersection, suppling Tanker 17. No injuries were reported. Crews were on scene for over 4 hours.
