Companies were dispatched to a reported fire in the chimney at the Mid Lakes development at Big Boulder. Ladder 17 was ordered to ladder the chimney of the 3 story condominium to check for extension around the chimney box. Crews removed the chimney cover and saw no evidence of extension. Inside crews removed the active fire from the fireplace. Roof crews then ran a chain down the chimney. Units were on scene for an hour.
