In March of 2002 Tanker 1731 was placed in service. It replaces our F-8000 Ford Tanker which was totalled in an accident in November of 2001. The new Tanker is built on a 2002 International 7400 Series Dual Axle Chassis. It was built by K.M.E. and has a 2500 gallon S.S. Poly Lined Tank, with a 10" rear Newton Dump Valve, and 3000 gallon Folda Tank. It also has a 500 G.P.M. Hale Pump with 2 - 1 3/4" crosslays. The unit has both U.H.F. and V.H.F. radio capabilities. It also is equipped with On-Spot chains. 1731 responds to all fires including: structure, dwelling, car and brush fires.
